Heyy Babyy 2: Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan Comedy Drama Confirmed, Shooting Location Revealed!

Starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles, Heyy Babyy was released in 2007. After nearly two decades, the makers have announced the sequel. On Thursday, Sept. 3, the producer Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed that “Heyy Babyy 2” is in the works. The producer also welcomed New South Wales Premier Chris Minns to his Mumbai office. Sharing pictures on social media, he stated that a three-film deal has been finalized with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the shooting will take place in Australia. The sequel to “Heyy Babyy” is one of them, as the original was also filmed there.

Heyy Babyy 2 Shoot to Take Place in Australia

Sajid Nadiadwala wrote, “A landmark moment for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. I had the honour of hosting The Hon. Chris Minns, Premier of New South Wales, Australia. We are proud to take this relationship forward with a three-film production deal, all set to be shot in Australia. And what better way to begin than with the return of one of our most loved films.”  He further added that “Heyy Babyy 2” will mark the return of the franchise to Australia, which was the primary location of the first film shot in 2007.

The cast and storyline of the upcoming is yet to be revealed. However, fans and movie buffs are ecstatic to know what’s more in store for them. Speaking about the deal, Sajid shared that Australia is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also an incredibly film-friendly country with a highly professional, efficient, and welcoming environment for filmmakers. He stated, “From our directors, to EP had all had a fantastic time shooting there, and the support and warmth extended to our team made the entire process truly memorable. The experience has encouraged us to look at Australia as a key destination for our future productions, and we are now looking forward to taking three of our upcoming films there to shoot.” All in all, more updates regarding the film are now awaited.
