After months of anticipation, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has finally hit the silver screens. Not to be surprised, the romance-comedy drama has been opened on a good note. Starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, the film collected Rs 7.50 crore on day one. As of day 2, 3 PM, it has already raked in Rs 1.94 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 9.44 crore. Over the weekend, it is quite evident that the comedy drama is going to continue its escalating momentum at the box office. 

Helmed by renowned filmmaker David Dhawan, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai ran across 9,081 shows on its premiere day, achieving an occupancy rate of 17 percent. By the end of this week, it is expected to seal its first weekend earnings around the Rs. 20 crore nett mark.

So far, Varun Dhawan’s romance comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has garnered mixed reactions from the audience. Moreover, the film surpassed the collection of Bhediya, which had minted Rs 7.48 crore at the box office. Not just that, the movie is currently locking horns at the box office with Bobby Deol’s Bandar and Ram Charan’s Peddi

The family-entertainer has also made a solid mark in the international markets, bringing in an additional Rs. 2.00 crore gross from the overseas. As of now, the film’s worldwide collection stands at Rs 11 crore. 

Alongside the breezy romance-comedy features, Varun Dhawan, Manish Paul, Chunky Pandey, Rakesh Bedi, Jimmy Shergill, and Mouni Roy star in pivotal roles. Not to forget, this film holds special emotional value for the film fraternity as it marks the final directorial venture of the legendary David Dhawan, who has officially announced his retirement.
