Gunmaaster G9 First Song Afsaana Banaaya Aapne OUT: Emraan Hashmi, Himesh Reshammiya’s Collab Sparks Nostalgia

After days of anticipation, the makers have finally unveiled the first song from “Gunmaaster G9” titled ‘Afsaana Banaaya Aapne’. Composed and penned by Himesh himself, the song is sung by Himesh and Asees Kaur. The much-loved musical combination of Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya returns after several romantic chartbusters, including Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

Helmed by Aditya Datt, “GunmaasterG9” features Emraan Hashmi, Genelia Deshmukh, and Aparshakti Khurana in the key roles. Slated to hit the theatrical screens on Nov. 27, 2026, the song has created a frenzy, just like the trailer and teaser. Take a look!

Gunmaaster G9’s Afsaana Banaaya Aapne Unvieled

Gunmaaster G9’s Afsaana Banaaya Aapne has a heavy dose of nostalgia as it brings together Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya. With frantic Tabla beats, high notes, and the nasal twang, the song is undoubtedly melodic, making every listener groove. In fact, the song title is a homage to Himesh’s iconic song ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne.’

With lyrics written by Junaid Wasi and Sarim Momin, the song stars Emraan serenading Genelia Deshmukh, a reserved cafe owner who gradually gives in to his charms. What captivated the audience and listeners was not just the soul-stirring melody but also the scenic backdrop of serene and sunny Mussoorie streets. 

Speaking about the music album of the film, Himesh shared, “The tracks of Gunmaaster G9 are completely in sync with the world of the film. To compose such great, audio-friendly tracks while being true to the story was a task. Working with Aditya is always a pleasure, as he has a great understanding of music.” 

All in all, fans are waiting for “Gunmaaster G9” to hit the silver screens to relive the magic of  Emraan and Himesh’s combination. In a nutshell, Afsaana Banaaya appears to bring a soft, emotional dimension to the action thriller.
