Golden Globes 2027: Comedian Nikki Glaser Returns as Host for the Third Time
On Wednesday, March 11, CBS and the Golden Globes announced Nikki Glaser as the host of the 84th Annual Golden Globes, scheduled on January 10, 2027. The comedian continues her streak as host for the third time in a row. The much-acclaimed awards night will air live on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. For the unversed, Nikki Glaser was the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo after Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s paired hosting stints. She has been winning the hearts of the audience with her impeccable opening monologues. Not just that, her most recent monologue garnered nearly 14 million in the first 36 hours across Golden Globes social media platforms.
As the buzz around the Golden Globes faded away in January, the organizers have begun piquing curiosity among the audience for the next season, scheduled in 2027.

The American comedian and actress, Nikki Glaser, has set the tone for a celebratory evening honoring the best in film, television, and podcasts. The official statement shared by CBS consisted of President Golden Globes, Helen Hoehne’s words. She stated, “Her comedic precision, authenticity, and ability to command the room are unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.” To which Glaser added, “I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord.”
After her career-defining work in 2024, Glaser was hailed as “Comedian of the Year” by The New York Times. Additionally, she was a part of the Time100: The Most Influential People of 2025 list and continued her momentum with the HBO special Someday You’ll Die, which earned Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice nominations and a WGA win. Audiences are now looking forward to the largest awards show worldwide, slated for next year, on January 10, 2027.
