Helmed by Chella Ayyavu, “Gatta Kusthi 2” was a hit sequel to 2022’s prequel starring Aishwarya Lekshmi as Keerthi and Vishnuu as Veera. Besides the lead cast, Kaali Venkat, Karunaas and Munishkanth have reprised their roles along with Lizie Antony, Gajaraj and Sreeja Ravi. The sequel also includes fresh faces, including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and child artist Zara Zyanna.
Veera (Vishnu Vishal) supports Keerthi’s wrestling career as promised, becoming a house husband while she pursues her dreams. Their differing parenting styles and concerns over their daughter Mathi Malar’s future strain their marriage, forcing Keerthi to sacrifice her career. As their relationship falls apart and divorce looms, the family confronts what truly matters.
Gatta Kusthi 2 emerged as a profitable venture for Vishnuu, who also produced it along with Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International. The film grossed Rs 55.39 crore worldwide by running across 32,246 shows. Talking about its overseas collection, the film raked in Rs 8.30 crore.
