Every Year After X (Formerly Twitter) Reviews

Prime Video has released all eight episodes for fans to stream on June 10. Every Year After chronicles the journey of Percy, who spent her childhood summers in Barry’s Bay and made friends with Sam Florek, a youngster who lives across the lake. A betrayal tears their friendship apart, leaving them to grow up with no contact. Years later, after a life-changing incident, they reunite as adults, forcing them to confront their unresolved feelings.

After binge-watching the drama, fans rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to share their two cents about the series. A user praised the series, writing, “I hope everyone has the best time in Barry’s Bay. #EveryYearAfter swept me off my feet and made me fall head over heels in love with these characters. I have many spoiler-filled thoughts, but I don’t want to ruin anyone’s viewing experience. I can’t wait to hear what you think.” Another fan added, “The stolen glances, their eyes meeting through the charged tension, the flushed cheeks, the quiet desire, the chemistry is undeniable, and I already love it #EveryYearAfter.”

One viewer has a slightly different opinion, “Soo I finished every year after as a second chance truther, this show didn’t really do it for me 🙁 the angst & the yearning were too weak. a lot of the plot lines didn’t make sense, by ep 6 i was annoyed by every one except Jordy, Chantal & surprisingly Delilah.” On the contrary, a netizen expressed what worked for her, tweeting “Right, I’ve finished #EveryYearAfter and really enjoyed it. Captured the importance of working through things and not repeating mistakes and bad decisions. I love broken characters and hope we get a season 2 to see how they rebuild their lives beyond the small glimpse in finale.”

In a nutshell, the web series has been receiving mixed responses. However, the positive reviews have outshone the number of those who have differing reviews.
