Echoes Of Us 2nd Teaser OUT: Deepak Tijori, Iulia Vantur’s Short Film to Screen at Cannes 2026

Ahead of its prestigious screenings at the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the makers of Echoes Of Us dropped a heart-melting teaser. Helmed by Joe Rajan, the English short film’s teaser generated a lot of buzz. With its intense black-and-white visuals, haunting atmosphere, and powerful performances by Deepak Tijori, Iulia Vantur, and Spanish actress Alessandra Whelan Merediz, the audience is excited to know what’s in store. 

The excitement surrounding the project continues to amplify among movie fanatics and festival audiences as the award-winning short film gears up for prestigious Cannes and French Riviera screenings. Before arriving at the French Riviera, the film amassed over 88 international laurels. Having said that, it created history at the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFFF) in Florida. The critically acclaimed short film, Echoes of Us, will be taking center stage at the world’s most discussed cinematic gathering. The film will be showcased by the Indian Panorama International Film Festival on May 14, 2026, followed by a featured screening at the French Riviera International Film Festival (FRIFF) on May 16, 2026. 

The second emotionally charged teaser emphasizes heavily on heart-warming close-ups, grief-filled expressions, and reflective moments, hinting at a deeply personal and layered narrative. As per reports, the short film is expected to chronicle the journey of a man whose life is altered after discovering a video diary left behind by his late wife, leading him through memories, pain, and emotional revelations. In a nutshell, the teaser’s artistic visual style and emotional tone suggest a thoughtful drama exploring the themes of love, loss, and healing.

Romanian actress-turned-singer Iulia Vantur took to her Instagram feed, sharing a glimpse of the iconic Cannes Film Festival 2026. She donned a light blue, strapless gown with a voluminous, pleated skirt as she stepped on the Cannes red carpet. The bodice featured horizontal ruched detailing, creating a textured, wrap-around effect that highlights her silhouette to perfection. Talking about her jewelry, the singer wore a teardrop-shaped blue gemstone necklace with dangling silver-toned earrings. Last but not least, for the hairdo, she opted for voluminous, soft side-swept waves. 

She wrote, “A magical evening at the opening of one of the most prestigious film Festivals in the world – Cannes Film Festival. It feels so good to be here, to showcase our film “Echoes Of Us” who has an unbelievable journey itself. We were honoured to come as a team and to be together on this special evening, on the red carpet. Grateful.”
