Mohanlal’s Georgekutty Drishyam 3 has successfully completed its theatrical run and is now all geared up for its digital debut. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film hit the cinema halls on May 21, 2026. After less than a month, the makers took to their official social media timelines to announce their digital debut on July 18.
For the unversed, the thriller achieved significant box-office success, becoming the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film in India after minting over Rs 234.97 crore global earnings. Talking about the film, Mohanlal shared, “George Kutty is a character who has stayed with audiences for many years, and that love is something deeply cherish. The reason audiences connect with Drishyam is that, beyond the mystery, it is rooted in a deeply human story about family, love, and survival. I am grateful for the affection audiences have shown George Kutty through the years and thrilled that Drishyam 3 will now reach audiences across the globe.”
The much-loved thriller drama will stream from June 18, 2026, on Prime Video in Malayalam, along with dubbed versions in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. It will also be available to audiences across India and in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The announcement also ties into Prime Video’s special Prime Day lineup, with the platform highlighting upcoming entertainment releases as part of its wider July celebrations in India.
Creating curiosity among fans once again, the makers shared fresh posters, writing, “Georgekutty and family awaits you #Drishyam3OnPrime, June 18.” Bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, the film chronicles the journey of Mohanlal’s character Georgekutty years after his supposed perfect crime, as he lives a successful life. However, his past comes back to haunt him.
Director Jeethu Joseph shared through a statement, “With Drishyam 3, my intention was not just to continue the story, but to delve deeper into the mind of George Kutty. Over the years, he has become a man defined by the choices he made to protect his family, but beneath his resilience lies a father who has been forced to live with constant fear, uncertainty, and the weight of his past.” He further added that this chapter explores the psychological toll of those experiences, making it perhaps the most intimate and emotionally layered film in the franchise. The team wanted to examine not only what George Kutty does, but what those decisions have cost him as a person. All in all, he is thrilled that audiences across the world will now be able to experience this new chapter on Prime Video.
