It is no news that Ranveer Singh and Akshayee Khanna starrer Dhurandhar has broken all records and earned milestones in the history of Indian cinema. Whether it is its box office collection, groove-worth songs, or electrifying performances, the action crime drama has created a frenzy worldwide. Now, fans eagerly await Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled for release in theatres on March 19, 2026. The thriller will be clashing with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups at the box office. 

Movie buffs have already started anticipating the film’s first look and teaser trailers. Reportedly, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 teaser is expected to run alongside Sunny Deol’s Border 2, which is set to release on January 23, 2026.

Premiered on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar has brought a storm at the box office, breaking records of blockbusters like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and other big movies like Jawan and Stree 2. It has crossed the Rs 13 billion mark at the box office and is one of the biggest hits. The gripping narrative and stellar cast, including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Arjun Rampal, appealed to everyone, and now, they can’t wait for the second installment to roll out. As a result, the film’s momentum doesn’t seem to slow down anytime soon. 

Before March, the next blockbuster in the pipeline is Sunny Deol’s Border 2, which also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in lead roles. The war drama is slated for release on January 23, 2026. Since it is one of the most anticipated films, the makers of Dhurandhar 2 are reportedly planning to drop the first look along with its release. This strategy is similar to that of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, which was rolled out for four weeks alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Director Aditya Dhar and the film have been enjoying a remarkable theatrical run even on its 43rd day. Reportedly, he has reworked the movie’s end-credit sequence and reshaped it into a teaser-style preview. The specially edited segment is assumed to be showcased nationwide alongside Border 2, starting from January 23, in a strategic move to build anticipation for what’s next in the franchise. An official announcement regarding the teaser release is yet to be made.
