On the joyous occasion of Anne Hathaway’s birthday, 20th Century Studios unveiled the Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser trailer. November 12 was indeed a special day for fans across the world who were highly anticipating Anne’s next big hit. The comedy drama, featuring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, debuts exclusively in theaters on May 1, 2026. 

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling novel, The Devil Wears Prada, released in 2006, earned over 326 million dollars worldwide, as well as an Oscar nomination for Streep. Post the release of the minute-long teaser, the fashion drama sequel has stirred conversations and intrigued fans about who the devil is and who’s up for revenge. Here’s what you can expect.

Part two of the drama is a long-awaited reunion of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway as the formidable Miranda Priestly and her former assistant, Andy Sachs. Alongside, there’s Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci as Emily and Nigel, who tread on the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of the Runway Magazine.

Right at the start of the teaser trailer, the audience can spot how the world and Miranda’s empire have transformed. The once all-powerful editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine witnesses the decline of print media and strives to navigate an industry revolutionized and dominated by digital influencers and shrinking advertising budgets. To her ship sail, she is compelled to join hands with her ex-assistant Emily (Emily Blunt), who heads a global luxury brand. The first part of the film defined a generation with class and modesty, and now, movie fanatics are eager to know what’s in store. 

Earlier, Emily Blunt expressed, “The first film became an unexpected cultural touchstone. It’s surreal to return to these characters who shaped our lives, and wardrobes, in so many ways.”
