Captain India Release Date OUT: Kartik Aaryan’s Aviation Thriller to Hit Theatres in August 2027

Kartik Aaryan is showing no signs of slowly down with back-to-back releases in the pipeline. While he is busy with Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming romantic drama alongside Sreeleela, the makers of Captain India have locked the release date of the aviation thriller. Scheduled to hit theatres on August 15, 2027, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer has taken advantage of the Independence Day weekend next year.  Undoubtedly, fans and movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the actor’s back-to-back releases. For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla too will be releasing next year in February on 12, aligning closely with Valentine’s Day week. The next couple of years are shaping up to be especially interesting.

Backed by T-Series and Baweja Studios, the project is expected to go on floors in June 2026. Directed by Shimit Amin, the film is going to mark the filmmaker’s return to cinemas after blockbusters like Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.

It is no news that Kartik Aaryan’s calendar remains packed with multiple projects in different phases of production. On the professional front, Kartik was last seen in 2026’s Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans. He has a busy lineup ahead. 

With Captain India arriving on August 13, 2027, the makers have strategically planned it for the Independence Day weekend. The film, inspired by real-life events, is now actively preparing for production after years of uncertainty.
