After Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar storm, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh’s action-war drama, Border 2, stepped into the box office battleground. It faded the dominance of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller, thanks to its gripping narrative and captivating storytelling. Released on January 23, the film completed its theatrical run and is now geared up to leave its digital footprints on Netflix.

Border 2 roared to box-office glory in 2026, raking in Rs 392.40 crore net domestically and Rs 449.65 crore worldwide. After months of waiting, the makers finally took to their official social media handles, announcing the OTT release date. Border 2 will start streaming on the platform Netflix from March 20, 2026. 

Helmed by Anurag Singh, the war drama stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in the lead roles, alongside Sunny Deol. It tells the saga of brave army men set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, emphasizing the roles of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force during the conflict. For the unversed, the sequel garners attention for its large-scale war sequences and emotional storytelling. The 1997 Border focused on the Battle of Longewala, while the sequel broadens the scope to multiple war fronts.
