Popular artists like Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh collaborated with Sonu Nigam for the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from Border 2. It has been envisioned as the remake of the original song from J.P. Dutta’s Border. The 1997 audio track was penned by Javed Akhtar, composed by Anu Malik, and sung by Roop Kumar Rathod. This time, the feeling remains stagnant, but the vocals have changed.

On Friday, January 2, 2026, the reimagined version was dropped by production banner T-Series. With additional lyrics written by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, the 29-year-old song has been amplified to perfection. New stories of soldiers and their families longing for them back home have been added, keeping the immortal melody intact. The atmosphere at the song launch was heavy, exuding pure patriotism. The heart-melting performances by the soldiers, indeed, added a layer of authenticity.

Though Sunny Deol was alluding to the demise of his father, Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, the actor greeted the audience and expressed his thoughts about the film and the heart-warming song.

Helmed by Anurag Singh and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 is expected to be 2026’s box office hit.
