Border 2 Box Office Collection Surpasses Rs 400 Cr Mark Worldwide, Beats the Record of THESE Blockbusters
After Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty’s Border 2 has taken over the reins. Released on January 23, 2026, the war epic is running successfully in its third week. As a result, Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 and Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra-led crime drama Vadh 2 face challenges in sustaining momentum.
On day 18, Border 2 sails surpass Rs 400 crore worldwide and Rs 300 crore net in India. Surprisingly, the India-Pakistan war drama has beaten the lifetime domestic earnings of Padmaavat and Sultan. Steadily, it is on the verge of breaking the records of War and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Sunny Deol’s Border 2 has raked in a total gross of Rs 370.08 crore and a total net of Rs 309.40 crore, across 86,978 shows and good market penetration. On the first day of its release, the film collected Rs 30 crore net. In the first week itself, the film earned Rs 224.25 crore and Rs 70.15 crore in the second week. Cut to day 17, the movie has minted Rs 6.90 crore at the box office in India.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is a spiritual sequel to the 1997 iconic war drama Border, directed by JP Dutta. Border 2 continues its strong theatrical run even on day 18, while Mardaani 3 and Vadh 2 struggle at the box office. Rani Mukerji’s cop-action drama opened to Rs 4 crore, while currently it stands at Rs 35.65 crore. On the other hand, the Vadh 2 collected Rs 1 crore at the box office, taking the total to Rs 2.50 crore in India.
