The makers of Batwara 1947 have understood the assignment of keeping audiences hooked with the slightest updates of their film. Starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, and others, the partition drama is all set to invite movie buffs to theatres starting from August 14. Just after unveiling the character posters and piquing curiosity, the teaser has been released.

Batwara 1947 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The newly released 1-minute-5-second teaser has struck the right chords of the audience’s hearts, leaving them intrigued yet again. Sharing the teaser on his social media profile, Sunny Deol wrote, “When batwara drew lines between people, he chose courage over fear. ✨ Watch #Batwara1947 in cinemas this Partition Day, 14th August.” 

The teaser kicks off with how India got rid of the British, but left the country divided, maintaining peace. It depicts the separation and everything that shatters families. At the heart of the film stands a hero who rises above fear and hatred, embodying extraordinary courage. In a nutshell, the teaser takes the viewers through the gritty and dark partition-era in 1947, India. The unrest gradually narrows its lens to the personal consequences of the split. Additionally, it is a soul-stirring saga that taps into the themes of bravery, selflessness, and the resilience of the human spirit.

The upcoming project emphasizes the separation of India and Pakistan, leading many families into misery and anguish. Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Batwara 1947 is bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions with A. R. Rahman’s music composition.
