Avatar: Fire and Ash Projected to Open With $350 Million Worldwide, Sells THIS Many Tickets in India

Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: Fire And Ash has clocked an astounding advance ticket booking sales in India and worldwide. It is gradually heading to take a good start at the box office. However, the pre-sales are expected to be lower than those of its predecessor, Avatar: Way of Water, Demon Slayer, and Zootopia 2. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang in key roles, the third installment of the sci-fi epic is projected to open with $350 million worldwide. Moreover, the most anticipated animated film has sold over 2.25 lakh tickets at national chains in India.

Avatar: Fire And Ash Seeks Golden Globes Nomination For Box Office Achievement Before Its Release

Avatar: Fire and Ash is all set for its biggest theatrical run on December 19, 2025. Trade analyst Luiz Fernando’s report concluded that the movie completed its four-day pre-sales with steady hold. Below are the numbers for the 4-day pre-sales collection. 

• Wednesday, Early Screenings: $350k
• Thursday Previews:  $810k
• Friday, Opening Day: $2.8 million
• Saturday, Day 2: $2.7 million
• Sunday, Day 3: $1.1 million

Reportedly, Avatar 3 is projected to open between $90 million and $105 million from approximately 3,800 theatres at the domestic box office. Additionally, it is poised to earn another $250 million to $275 million overseas, leading to a total opening weekend estimate of between $340 million $365 million.

The third part of the franchise takes place a year after Jake and Neytiri settle in with the Metkayina clan, as their family grapples with grief following Neteyam’s death. They encounter a new, aggressive Na’vi tribe called the Mangkwan clan, also known as the Ash People. This tribe is led by the fiery leader Varang, who has allied with Jake’s enemy, Quaritch, as the conflict on Pandora escalates to devastating consequences.
