Amitabh Bachchan Sells Two Luxury Apartments in Mumbai, Earning 47% ROI

Big B Amitabh Bachahan has sold two luxury apartments in Goregoan, Mumbai for Rs. 12 crore, gaining 47 percent of return on investment. This wasn’t his first strategic real estate move. According to property registration documents accessed by CER Matrix, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who purchased the units for Rs. 8.12 crore in 2012, has now earned 47 percent return on investment in the past 13 years.

The two apartments are located on the 47th floor of the Oberoi Exquisite building in the Goregaon East area of Mumbai. Both apartments were sold with a total of four parking spaces, according to the paperwork.

The initial transaction involved the sale of a 1,820 square foot flat for six crores rupees, with a registration cost of thirty thousand rupees and a stamp fee of thirty lakh rupees. The transaction was recorded on October 31, 2025. The second transaction involved the sale of a comparable 1,820 square foot apartment for Rs. 6 crore, with the same registration cost and stamp duty. On November 1, 2025, this transaction was recorded.

Big B’s Previous Real Estate Move: 

According to property registration papers obtained by CER Matrix, Amitabh Bachchan acquired three adjacent land parcels in Alibaug last month totaling 9,557 sq ft and worth a total of Rs. 6.59 crore. According to the documentation, the land lots were acquired as part of a project called A Alibaug Phase-2, which was developed by the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).

According to Zapkey.com, Abhishek Bachchan bought six apartments worth Rs. 15.42 crore in Oberoi Realty’s Oberoi Sky City development in Mumbai’s Borivali neighborhood in 2024. In the same year, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan purchased 10 flats in Oberoi Realty’s Eternia development in Mulund West for a total of Rs. 24.94 crore.

According to real estate registration papers acquired by SquareYards, Amitabh Bachchan sold his duplex unit in Mumbai’s Andheri neighborhood for Rs. 83 crore in January of this year. In The Atlantis building, the flat is situated on a RERA carpet area of 5,185 square feet.
