Aamir Khan and His Family Buckle Up to Run for a Cause at Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026

In a recent Instagram post, Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan, made a special announcement concerning their Paani Foundation and Agatsu Foundation. Ira, along with her husband Nupur Shikhare, father Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Junaid, and Azad Khan, will be running the Mumbai Tata Marathon 2026 on January 18. Nupur will run the full marathon, Junaid the 10K, and Ira, Kiran, and Azad the 5.9 km Dream Run. 

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao established the Paani Foundation to transform drought-hit villages in Maharashtra through training, science, and teamwork. On the other hand, the Agatsu Foundation, founded by Ira Khan, focuses on making mental health accessible, affordable, and humane. The foundation, located in Bandra, offers a free community centre and low-cost therapy clinic that hosts programmes on mental health awareness.

The family’s Marathon run will support their two dearest foundations, namely Paani and Agastu. In the post, Ira stated that they stand as the “Home Run Squad.” She also urged supporters to join the run and donate to their campaign. What garnered all the attention was Khan’s simple yet powerful invitation that spoke volumes about her personal resolve and heartfelt solidarity. 

Aamir Khan and his one big chaotic family are all set to lend their support to the initiatives, adding momentum to their philanthropic endeavour. Since both foundations have worked hard to address crucial social issues, it is time for citizens and runners to lend support. The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, 18 January 2026, beginning from historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway Terminus (CSMT).
