On January 28, the first JEE Mains session 1 exam will resume. Therefore, students need to have a look at the important guidelines provided by NTA.

The Paper 1 B.E/B.Tech exam will be held on January 28 and the B.Arch and B.Planning exams will take place on January 29, 2026. The exams on both days will take place in two sessions. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Allowed items in exam hall

Admit card, ID cards, transparent water bottle, sugar tablets, photographs, fruits.

Guidelines:

  • Make sure you arrive at the test facility at least an hour before the reporting time listed on your JEE Main 2026 Admit Card.
  • Candidates who arrive after the gate closes will not be permitted into the test location.
  • Because candidates will have to go through a number of required procedures, it is crucial that they arrive on time.
  • In addition to submitting their colored, passport-sized photo, which must match the one on the application form, candidates must also do so.
  • Complete the attendance register with the necessary data.
  • Before leaving the exam room, candidates must give the Invigilator their admit card together with the rough sheets, on which they must write their name and roll number. Sign in legible handwriting, left-hand thumb impression and stick the photograph in the right spot. The Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and unblemished, according to the shiksha.com.
