CAT 2026 Registration Begins: Check Application Fee, Exam Date and Eligibility

CAT 2026 exam registration has now started. Students can apply by paying an application fee and checking eligibility. The IIM Indore has begun accepting applications for the CAT exam at iimcat.ac.in, the official website. According to official statistics, candidates have until September 15, 2026, to turn in their CAT application forms.

On November 29, 2026, the test will be administered in three sittings across India. About 170 cities will participate in the event. The CAT score can be used by candidates to apply for admission to the IIMs’ postgraduate and fellow/doctoral programs.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have graduated from an approved university with at least 50% of the possible marks in order to apply for CAT 2026. The minimum score for PwD, SC and ST candidates is 45%. Additionally, qualified are those who are in their final year of graduation. In addition, applicants who hold professional degrees like CA, CS, CMA or ICWAI may submit an application.

Application Fee:

This year, the application cost for CAT has been raised. It costs Rs. 2700 for general candidates and Rs. 1350 for SC, ST, or PwD candidates. Through debit cards, credit cards or net banking, candidates may pay their fees online.
