62-Year-Old Man Held for Molesting 19-Year-Old Woman Commuter at Dadar Railway Station

62-Year-Old Man Held for Molesting 19-Year-Old Woman Commuter at Dadar Railway Station

In Mumbai’s Dadar, the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a 62-year-old man for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old female commuter while she was alighting from a train.

The incident happened on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The accused, Darshankumar Makhan, works as a driver and is a resident of Delhi.

According to the police, the complainant was travelling on a Kalyan–CSMT fast local train with a male friend in the fourth general compartment from the Kalyan side. As the complainant and her friend were getting off at platform number 12 at Dadar station, the accused, Darshankumar Makhan, allegedly touched the female commuter inappropriately, leaving her scared. She later filed a complaint with the Dadar GRP.

The police registered an FIR against Darshankumar Makhan under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused was arrested the same day.
