A 29 year old man called Rohit discussed working 16 hours a day in two capacities. One for a business in India during the day and one for a US corporation at night. In a video posted by wealth manager and personal finance coach Anshuman Sharma. He stated that he was forced into this routine by the need to support his family since he was the only one in his family who had the chance to pursue a higher education.
According to Rohit, his monthly salary from both jobs together is approximately seven lakh rupees. He acknowledged having ongoing financial worry despite having this steady income. He just purchased an 85 lakh two BHK apartment, acquired a vehicle, and had a baby. His monthly expenses include a house loan EMI of Rs. 60,000, a vehicle EMI of Rs. 28,000, and other household expenditures of about Rs. 1.3 to 1.4 lakh.
Rohit stated that his savings totaled over Rs. 80 lakh at the age of 29. He had two lakh rupees in stocks, ten lakh rupees in a fixed deposit, and seventy lakh rupees in mutual funds. Rohit didn’t have any loans at the time of his wedding, possessed two homes and had enough money saved to cover his spending for four years, Sharma noted. He questioned Rohit’s continued desire to put in so much effort and forgo time with his infant.
Rohit stated that his objective was to accumulate between seven and eight crore rupees over the following five to six years. Following that, he intended to resign from his day job and continue with just the night job.
Sharma gave a straightforward yet thought provoking answer. Instead of saving four lakh rupees each month, he questioned Rohit if saving two lakh rupees per month was worth retiring at 45 instead of 38 or 39 while spending time with his child during these formative years. According to him, Rohit may think about immediately leaving one employment if the solution was affirmative.
