According to the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Annual Report 2025-26, at the end of 2025-26, the amount of unclaimed dividends held by mutual funds increased by 15.7 percent to Rs. 2,689 crore, while unclaimed redemption proceeds marginally decreased during the year.

According to the report, the sum of unclaimed mutual fund dividends increased by Rs. 365 crore from Rs. 2,324 crore at the close of 2024-2025. However, from Rs. 1,128 crore a year prior, unredeemed redemption amounts fell by 0.5 percent to Rs. 1,122 crore.

“Meanwhile, the total amount of unclaimed dividends increased by 15.7 percent, from Rs. 2,324 crore in 2024-25 to Rs. 2,689 crore in 2025-26,” SEBI stated in the report.

According to figures in the report, mutual fund unclaimed dividends and redemption amounts totaled Rs. 3,811 crore as of March 31, 2026, up from Rs. 3,452 crore at the end of the previous fiscal year. The amount of Rs. 2,689 crore that SEBI cited is for unclaimed dividend amounts in mutual funds only, not for the overall unclaimed dividends of listed corporations.
