Once A Factory Worker, Now Full-Stack Developer: Pune Man Shares Career Transformation in Just 18 Months
A successful story of a pune boy will really inspire you. After working in a factory, a man from Pune transformed his life in 18 months by teaching himself to code and ultimately landing a position as a full-stack developer.
A boy from Pune has inspired many by sharing how he went from working in a vegetable processing plant to being a full-stack developer at a company in the US, all in just a year and a half. He has shared his journey on social media.
Because of money issues, he had to leave college and started working long 10 hour shift at a vegetable factory, which was both hard on his body and mind. Since he didn’t know anything about coding before, he chose to learn it after a friend suggested it and a quote from Elon Musk encouraged him which was, “You can find everything you need to learn for free online.”
He saved up some money and got help from his parents to buy a laptop. Then, he began learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React using online materials. Instead of paying for expensive classes, he taught himself by reading guides and creating projects.
From a factory worker to a full-stack developer in 1.5 years of grind. I’m not saying this to flex.
I’m saying this because I didn’t believe it was possible either.
1.5 years ago, I was working in a vegetables factory.

He faced many difficulties. He got his first internship after a month of study and gaining confidence. Over the next several months, he increased his proficiency in data structures, backend development and React, which helped him land a full time full-stack position with a US firm that is located in Bhopal, as per his post.
He describes his journey as messy, uncertain and uncomfortable and suggests others believe in the power of focused effort over 1-2 years, if you are starting from a scratch.
