Recently, we see the trend of young people who are leaving their high salary jobs and opting for the career they wish to continue in. Now, a viral post has sparked debate about a young man who left Rs. 25 Lakh per annum and joined Swiggy as a food delivery agent. One of his friends shared an X post and mentioned how his friend is working as a full time delivery boy. He has mentioned the reason too.

A man who was earning Rs. 25 lakhs a year in a comfortable corporate job suddenly gave it all up. He became a delivery boy for Swiggy and Rapido. His parents were in tears, literally crying on the phone, pleading for someone to ‘make sense’ to him. His friend recalls in the post he shared. He was also getting married and he had brought a car too, as the post reads.

The post, posted yesterday on X by the username @enji vi, has received more than 9 lakh views. Thousands of users online are currently supporting the young man because sometimes the craziest actions are actually the smartest, as per them. This post also received various mixed comments.

According to the post, he moved to an area where students and young office workers lived. He plans to open his own cloud kitchen in the next six months, but many times he needs reliable data on what people are actually ordering before he spends a single rupee on rent or equipment. So he became a delivery boy himself. Every night he wrote down which biryani would sell out the quickest, what products do people still order at 2 am? etc.

According to his calculations, cloud kitchens can turn a profit in just three to four months. But few believe him. He was also yelled at by a security guard for using the elevator with a delivery bag. Almost every day he felt embarrassed. However, the young man did not move an inch.

His friend, who shared this story, wrote, “His parents are still against it. And apparently many of his friends made fun of his decision. He is still going through this and I support him 100%. I just hope everything goes well for him.”
