High Tides Above 4 to 5 Meters Till December 7, BMC Urges Citizens to Avoid Mumbai’s Coastline
If you are planning to visit Mumbai’s beach or want to roam near the coastline, then you should avoid it, as BMC has issued an important advisory for citizens amid the high tide in Mumbai. Until December 7th, high tides are expected, which will be 4 to 5 meters high. This year, in September, high tide occurred. Now, it’s expected to occur in the coming days and will continue for the next 3 days. On Thursday, the BMC issued the warning.
The BMC’s Disaster Management Department has confirmed that the tidal peak is anticipated early Saturday morning, that is, December 6th at 12.39 am. This tide could be the highest at 5.03 meters. Waves are expected to exceed the critical water level of 4.5 meters on several occasions, with maximum tides expected to exceed 5 meters on Sunday. According to the BMC, in the Arabian Sea in Mumbai, a high tide of 4.96 meters will reach at 11:52 pm on Thursday.

3. Saturday, December 6th, 2025 (Late Night at 12:39 pm, Wave Height: 5.03 meters)
4. Saturday, December 6th, 2025 (from 12:00 pm to 12:20 pm, Wave height: 4.17 meters)
5. Sunday, December 7th, 2025 (Late Night at 1:27 am, Wave Height: 5.01 meters)
6. Sunday, December 7th, 2025 (from 12:00 pm to 1:10 am, Wave height: 4.15 meters)
