A few days back, TCS Nashik was all over the news when allegations about harassment and torture of female employees surfaced. Now, Tata Sons chairman has taken action regarding the case.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran has now ordered a probe to look into this serious matter. The chairman has said that the complaints and the allegations coming from the Nashik branch of the TCS were gravely concerning and anguishing. He also mentioned that action had been initiated against the accused employees. He also added that the company is extending the full cooperation and support to the ongoing probes.

“The Tata Group maintains a zero tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct by its employees,” the statement stated. In addition, he stated that the internal probe into the issue will be led by TCS Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian.

Those determined to be guilty will face suitable and severe punishment. The statement went on to say that any required changes to procedures or corrective actions will be implemented and rigorously enforced immediately.

The allegation made by a female employee that a coworker used the guise of marriage to start a relationship with her. The case became more severe as seven more women with similar experiences came forward during the inquiry. The issue was brought to public attention following a number of accusations and as a result, a thorough probe and action are now being handled.
