3.5 LPA to 27 LPA: Techie From Tier 3 College Shares Tips on Salary Hike

Everyone works hard for the increment, change in pay scale and upgrade in profile. Now, a techie from tier 3 college has shared his experience of a massive salary jump. He has shared a post on social media.

After graduating from a Tier 3 institution in Pune in 2020, the techie encountered several rejections and chose to make some really difficult professional choices in order to progress. In the end, their tenacity and calculated risk taking enabled them to attain the financial and professional progress they had previously only dreamt of, which served as an example for other jobseekers.

The techie said that during the college placement, they had 30 to 35 interviews that were unsuccessful. At one point, the sheer number of rejections began to erode their confidence. Due to the family’s reliance on them, the techie chose to work for a friend’s startup at a monthly income of Rs. 45,000. The developer gained the skills to create products from scratch, interact with customers and consider things other than coding, despite the pay cut from the prior income.
