The new 350cc engine in the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z produces 40 horsepower at maximum power. The most significant improvement to the Bajaj NS400Z is the new 349.13cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder motor. According to reports, this unit, which replaces the previous 373cc model, is also used by the revamped Dominar 400.

The Bajaj NS400Z now generates 33.2Nm at 7,500rpm and 40bhp at 9,000rpm, which is a little less than it used to. The Bajaj NS400Z is predicted to have a distinct power profile, possibly providing a more manageable and smoother ride for daily use, despite the lower output numbers. Bajaj is able to place the bike in a more advantageous tax band due to the switch to a sub 350cc engine.

The Bajaj NS400Z maintains its current features and hardware. It has a rear monoshock, upside down front forks and is constructed around a perimeter frame. Additionally, the motorcycle has traction control, numerous riding modes and dual channel ABS.

The Bajaj NS400Z maintains a strong balance of performance and technology in its class thanks to its well rounded bundle. The price of the Bajaj NS400Z remains at about Rs. 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom), even with the engine upgrade.
