Travelling to Europe is everybody’s dream. One lady left her job to travel to Europe but said she regretted it in two weeks. The post has got a lot of attention. Let’s understand why she really felt that way.

An Australian woman quit from her job, thinking she would embark on a solitary six month trip across Europe. But she claimed that after only two weeks of the journey, she began to rethink her choice. The 28 year old woman was meant to use the occasion to see the globe before accepting any more responsibilities.

“I had a promising career (5 years experience in Finance), but the thought of not taking the opportunity of travelling whilst I had limited responsibilities was haunting me, so I packed up everything. I was also getting burnt out at the same time,” she wrote.

However, the fact of travelling to Europe did not meet her expectations. According to her, her journey started in Vienna, Austria, where she spent the first week. However, she discovered that the residents were not as welcoming as she was accustomed to at home. Rome had no better luck.

“My only enlightenment so far is that I have taken many aspects of Australia for granted. I didn’t notice the safety, the friendliness, the good coffee and the good weather when I was hunched over a screen in the office for 50 hrs a week,” she said in her post.
