US Snow Chaos: Colossal Winter Storm Kills At Least 29, Millions Of Citizens Without Power
A massive winter storm has hit in many regions in the US. Many citizens are surviving without power and at least 29 people have lost their lives in this colossal snow storm, as per the reports. The schools are closed and many flights have been cancelled due to heavy storms and freezing weather.
Among the fatalities were two individuals who were struck by snowplows in Massachusetts and Ohio, as well as fatal sledging incidents in Arkansas and Texas.
The roadways between Massachusetts in the northeast and Texas in the south were covered in ice and snow, frequently more than 30 centimeters thick. Residents of certain southern states experienced winter weather that was unprecedented for decades.
The National Weather Service predicted that the storm system would move away from the East Coast and into the Atlantic on Monday, but a surge of Arctic air was following close behind, extending the sub-freezing temperatures for a few more days.

According to poweroutage.com, there were over 750,000 power outages across the country as of Monday at midday. The majority of them were in the South, where weekend blasts of freezing rain broke tree limbs and electricity lines, causing severe power outages in northern Mississippi and sections of Tennessee. Air India flights to the US have also been cancelled due to the heavy winter storm in many states.
