By UPI payments, it’s easy to make digital transactions within minutes and seconds. But while traveling aboard, sometimes it’s very difficult to make such convenient payments.
Now, these nine countries are accepting UPI payments. Therefore, traveling abroad has now become convenient while traveling there. France has become the first European country to accept UPI transactions. Including France, there are eight countries who accept the UPI payments. Now, Cambodia has become the ninth country to accept UPI transactions.
Indian travellers may now use UPI enabled apps to make seamless digital payments in Cambodia. Travellers can pay at more than 4.5 million merchant sites across the country by just scanning local QR codes. Indian tourists can now travel internationally more easily thanks to Cambodia’s inclusion in the UPI network, which now has nine countries.
Singapore was one of the first countries to link with India’s digital payment ecosystem. For Indian tourists, cashless payments have become more practical thanks to UPI acceptance in the UAE, whether they are eating in Abu Dhabi or shopping in Dubai. The first country to implement UPI standards for QR based payments was Bhutan.
At selected retailers and merchants, Indian tourists may pay using UPI in Nepal. As a component of its expanding digital payments’ architecture, Mauritius has implemented UPI. Another place where Indian passengers can pay using UPI enabled applications is Qatar and Sri Lanka also accepts UPI payments.
