NASA Astronaut Shared Photos Showing Breathtaking Views of Earth During Spacewalk
A NASA astronaut has shared stunning photos of breathtaking views of the earth during a spacewalk. Astronaut Jessica Meir shared the images on her X account a few days back. In an X post, she wrote in the caption,”While I wasn’t gazing at astronaut Anil during last week’s spacewalk, my eyes were drawn downward to our majestic Mother Earth. Here’s how she looked from my spacesuit.”
She shared a photo of the beachfront framed by the solar arrays of the International Space Station. The recently installed IROSA mod kit is shown in the second photo, with a sunset in the background. This platform, according to Meir, will function as a mounting structure for new solar arrays that are scheduled to be placed during future spacewalks.
Additionally, she highlighted the smaller solar array that may be seen in the first photo’s bottom left corner. The ISS solar panels frame the mountains in the third picture. According to Meir, these photographs display various viewpoints of Earth that she observed from her spacesuit during spacewalks.

On August 6, 2026, Jessica Meir and Anil Menon successfully completed a 6 hour, 27 minute spacewalk outside the International Space Station. While Menon conducted his historic debut spacewalk, Meir performed her sixth career spacewalk as a member of the Expedition 75 crew.
