Indian Woman Pays Rs 10 Lakh Monthly Rent For 2 Bedroom Flat in New York, Internet Amazed

After disclosing the cost of living in Manhattan, a woman of Indian origin who resides in New York City started an online discussion. Sharan Hegde, a financial influencer who visited Khushi Jain’s flat in New York, recently released a video featuring her. Jain stated during their chat that she spends about 10,000 USD (roughly Rs. 10 lakh) every month for a two bedroom apartment in Manhattan.

With many users shocked by the rental charge, the disclosure soon attracted attention online. According to Jain, the 10,000 USD estimate was based on apartments she had viewed while looking for a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in Manhattan, particularly those in structures with conveniences.

Although renters can find reasonably priced alternatives in other sections of New York City, apartments in Manhattan can cost much more, she claimed. According to her, apartment rentals in places like Brooklyn, Long Island City, Queens and Astoria might be between 5,000 USD and 6,000 USD per month.

Jain stated that she was unable to locate an acceptable apartment in Manhattan for less than $10,000 during her search and she eventually decided to leave the area.

In addition, Hegde inquired about the cost of living in New York. According to Jain, she and her boyfriend spend roughly 10,000 USD every month on rent and other expenses. According to that estimate, they may spend about 100,000 USD to 120,000 USD or around Rs. 95 lakh to Rs. 1.14 crore, each year on their living expenses.
