The world is facing a fuel crisis amid the West Asian tensions. Now the premium petrol has got costlier and even the jet fuel price has surpassed Rs. 2 lakh, according to the reports.

Following a sharp increase in global oil rates caused by the West Asia crisis, India’s jet fuel prices have reached an all time high of Rs 2.07 lakh per kilolitre. Travellers will experience additional financial burden due to anticipated fare increases from airlines that are currently experiencing longer routes and increased fuel consumption.

Due to rising tensions in West Asia, oil prices surged worldwide, driving India’s Aviation Turbine Fuel (APF) cost to an all time high, as stated before. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has raised the prices of premium fuels in the national capital, according to news agency IANS, while the rates of regular petrol and diesel remain constant in the majority of major cities.

In Delhi, the price of IOC’s high octane XP100 petrol has increased from Rs. 149 to Rs. 160 per litre. According to IANS, this premium fuel is frequently used in high performance motorcycles and luxury cars to increase engine efficiency and performance.

The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs. 103.44 per litre, while the price of diesel is Rs. 89.97 per litre. According to IANS, oil marketing companies have kept these vital fuels stable in order to protect consumers from changes in global prices.
