YouTube has introduced a new feature to its users. By using the new zero minute feed limit feature, users can now block YouTube Shorts, which effectively removes short form videos from the homepage.

Users may now hide the special feed and concentrate on more conventional, long form material by changing the Shorts feed limit to a new zero minute option. Following its initial release for parental controls, this feature is now being rolled out to all users, including regular adult accounts, according to The Verge’s interview with YouTube spokesperson Makenzie Spiller.

How to disable YouTube Shorts?

Go to settings, click on Time Management, scroll down to Daily Limits and turn on the Shorts Feed Limit. Lastly, choose a time and, if you want to disable Shorts altogether, click on 0 minutes.

According to media accounts, YouTube gave its devoted users, which are said to be in the billions, the ability to block Shorts videos from search earlier this year by going to the YouTube Settings and filtering out Shorts as content to prevent them from showing in your search results. YouTube started in 2005 and is now used by many users daily. The engagement on YouTube is huge across the world and also in India.
