TCS now embraces AI. “We are telling associates that if you find that you can do something faster, better, cheaper with AI, you should probably go and tell your customers, even if it cannibalizes revenue,” CEO K Krithivasan said in Mumbai during the Nasscom Technology and Leadership Forum.

The head of the biggest software services company said on Wednesday that Tata Consultancy Services is pushing its staff to employ artificial intelligence tools to produce work more quickly and affordably, even if it reduces the firm’s income.

The remarks coincide with investor fears that AI may revolutionize the IT industry’s traditional, labor-intensive operating model, which resulted in a market value loss of roughly 68.6 billion USD in February.

TCS, the nation’s biggest IT services business, is not afraid of artificial intelligence and is also happy with revenue cannibalization via the use of AI technologies by its colleagues, according to a senior executive on Wednesday.

At the annual NTLF event here, TCS Managing Director and CEO K Krithivasan stated that senior-level employees are slower at developing AI-based solutions than the proficient younger workforce, PTI reported.
