Apple May Add Touchscreen in Next Generation MacBook Neo

The MacBook Neo was released by Apple just a few days ago as the cheapest MacBook model available. However, rumors suggest that the Cupertino company is already making plans for the next generation model. Significant modifications may be made to the speculated MacBook Neo 2.

Apple could be planning some major improvements for the next generation MacBook Neo, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The debut of Apple’s first touchscreen Mac, which is anticipated to be a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED display later in 2026, will come next. According to the manufacturer, the device uses cell touch technology, which will integrate the sensors directly into the display layer, making it thinner and more responsive.

The MacBook Neo, which is Apple’s cheapest laptop to date, will be available in India for Rs. 69,900. The Neo has a 13 inch Liquid Retina screen with 500 nits of brightness and 1 billion colors and it is powered by the same silicon used in the iPhone 16 Pro, the A18 Pro chip.
