Since the day netizens got to know that Indian cricketer Virat Kohli liked the sun-kissed photo of a German influencer LizLaz, algorithm memes began to surface online. Not just that, fans and audience were eager to dig deep into the life of German singer and influencer LizLaz. This incident also happened in 2025 when star cricketer Kohli liked a photo of Indian model and influencer Avneet Kaur. After clarifying, he stated that the like was the result of an “algorithm glitch” while he was clearing his feed. A year later, Kohli liked German-South African influencer Lizlaz, which accelerated algorithm-related memes. 

After the memes began to dominate the social media platforms, Virat allegedly unliked the influencer’s photo. Here’s how it all started!

The internet is buzzing with screengrabs of Virat Kohli liking one of her pictures. Weeks ago, she posted the sun-kissed images of herself and wrote, “Some golden hour shots.” The pinned post on her handle was allegedly liked by Kohli. 

LizLaz started trending after photographer Advait Vaidya dropped a post thanking Virat for liking his shot of his model, LizLaz. He shared the screenshot of Kohli’s like and wrote in the caption, “How does one react to this.. When the Goat, @virat.kohli .. Likes your Post.. me and @lizlaz_tv are still rubbing our eyes to check if it’s actually happening.. haha.. Thank you Goat..” Virat Kohli is yet to comment on his actions but the internet ain’t stopping from trolling him and making the incident nothing short of a meme-material.

Born in South Africa to a German mother and a South African father, Lizlaz is a social media influencer. Apart from German and Afrikaans, Lizlaz is fluent in languages such as Dutch, French, Russian, and a bit of Spanish.
