During an historic moment, Jos Buttler, playing for Gujarat Titans, hit his 600th T20 six. England’s star batter Jos Buttler of the Gujarat Titans (GT) became the fifth batsman in T20 cricket to break into the 600 sixes club.

The seasoned English batter reached this accomplishment during his team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) game at Arun Jaitley Stadium against the Delhi Capitals (DC), when he hit 52 runs in 27 balls, with three fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 192.59, as per the reports. With Chris Gayle (1,056 sixes), Kieron Pollard (981 sixes), Andre Russell (784 sixes) and Nicholas Pooran (712 sixes) above him, according to CricViz, Buttler currently has precisely 600 sixes in T20s.

Following this, he had a T20 World Cup to forget, scoring just 87 runs in eight innings at an average of 10.87, with a highest score of 26. Up to this point in the IPL 2026, Buttler has amassed 116 runs over three innings, averaging 38.66 runs per innings and with a strike rate of 156 or higher. He has also recorded a half century.

Buttler has scored 422 runs in 19 innings this year, at an average of 23.44 and a strike rate of 140.66 in 20 T20 innings, with two fifties and a top score of 97*, reported by the ANI. This was an outstanding performance by him.
