The FIFA World Cup Final 2026 has made history by announcing the first-ever halftime show featuring electrifying performances of superstars Madonna, Shakira, and BTS. It is all set to bring the Super Bowl-style entertainment format to the football field. The special performances will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The announcement has undoubtedly taken the internet by storm. 

Marking a major shift, the performances at the World Cup final have brought sports and global pop culture under one roof. Bankrolled in partnership with Global Citizen, the show will run for 11 minutes. Additionally, it will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and raise funds for education and football opportunities for children worldwide. 

FIFA World Cup Final 2026 Half-Time Show to Feature Madonna, Shakira, And BTS Performances

On May 14, 2026, FIFA president Gianni Infantino took to his Instagram feed, sharing the exciting news with football enthusiasts worldwide. This FIFA World Cup is surely going to be special with music, culture, and football blending in on an unprecedented scale. Coldplay’s Chris Martin will curate the show while Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop megastars BTS will headline a Super Bowl-style half-time show at the World Cup final. FIFA President wrote, “On 19 July at @fwc26nynj, Madonna, Shakira and BTS will headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show 🇨🇦🇲🇽🇺🇸, bringing together music and football on the biggest stage in sport for a very special cause.” He further added that the show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a shared commitment to help raise USD 100 million to expand access to quality education and football for children worldwide. Through this initiative, USD 1 from every ticket sold will go directly towards helping young people learn, grow, and play.

For the unversed, the biggest-ever World Cup, with 48 teams, will begin from June 11 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In March last year, Infantino announced that there would be the first-ever half-time show at a FIFA World Cup final. Nonetheless, fans are ecstatic and looking forward to the finale day.
