BCCI Announced IPL 2026 Second Phase Schedule, 12 Venues to Host 50 League Matches
IPL 2026 will begin next month, as cricket fans are excited about this year’s league matches. Now, BCCI has announced the second phase of the IPL 2026 schedule and around 12 venues to host 50 league matches. The announcement was made on Thursday (March 26) by the IPL. From April 13 through May 24, 50 matches will be held in 12 different locations throughout India.
The first match of the second phase of the IPL 2026 season will be between the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
According to the BCCI release, the matches in the second phase would be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamsala, Raipur and New Chandigarh.
In the second phase of IPL 2026, there will be eight double headers, with afternoon matches beginning at 3:30 pm IST and evening matches beginning at 7:30 pm IST.

The 10 teams have been divided into two groups according to the number of IPL championships. The Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants are in Group B, while the Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are in Group A.
