RJD Leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav Says He Will Contest All 243 Seats in Bihar

Addressing a rally in Kanti, Muzaffarpur, alongside party workers, Yadav made the announcement. As Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, he also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, listing what he described as the RJD’s achievements during its tenure, before delivering a striking message:
“We will return. Understand this—Tejashwi will be contesting all 243 seats of Bihar.”
His statement is being seen as more than just an attempt to energize party workers. Since the Muzaffarpur constituency is currently held by a Congress MLA, it has fueled fresh speculation over seat-sharing arrangements.
When asked about Yadav’s remarks, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi avoided giving a direct response, both on the issue of seat-sharing and on the question of who would be the Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial face in Bihar.
Meanwhile, alliance partners in the Mahagathbandhan—including Congress, Left parties, VIP, JMM, and the LJP (Paras faction)—are engaged in tough negotiations over seat allocation.
