PM Modi Hits Out at Congress-RJD Over ‘Bidi-Bihar’ Row

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday criticized the Congress and RJD over the recent “bidi-Bihar” row and called it an “insult” to the state.
While addressing a public rally, PM Modi hit out at Congress and the RJD, saying that whenever Bihar progresses, the Congress and the RJD “get busy insulting Bihar.”
Prime Minister Modi, who was speaking in Purnea, pointed out the now-deleted social media post by the Kerala unit of the Congress linking “Bihar with bidis.”
The social media post was aimed at the GST rationalisation that happened earlier this month.
While addressing a public gathering in Purnea, Bihar, PM Modi said, “You must have seen that RJD’s ally, the Congress Party, is comparing Bihar to a beedi on social media. These people hate Bihar so much.”
PM Modi called the bidi remark a “sheer insult to the state and its people” and said the state would give an appropriate reply to the Congress and its alliance soon.
Bihar assembly elections are scheduled to be held in October and November.
