NCP (SP) Chief Sharad Pawar Admitted To Hospital In Pune
On Monday, January 9, veteran politician and senior Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune. In the afternoon, the senior leader experienced throat-related discomfort and persistent coughing, following which he was taken from his residence in Baramati to the clinic.
Confirming the development to news agency PTI, Ruby Hall Clinic’s chief cardiologist and managing trustee, Dr Parvez Grant, said, “Once he arrived, a team of doctors examined him, and the further course of treatment will be decided accordingly.”
In the late 1990s, Pawar was diagnosed with oral cancer and underwent multiple surgeries in India and the United States as part of his treatment.
