Recently, her pink diamond came into more of the spotlight when jewellery expert and fashion content creator Dhrumit Merulia shared a video, made on her rare pink diamond ring that once belonged to Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France.

The ring formerly belonged to Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France, according to him. The ring, he continues, is called the Marie-Thérèse pink diamond ring. It has a massive 10.38 carat purple and pink modified kite with a dazzling cut diamond center stone. The pink stone is topped by round diamonds. There are 17 diamonds on the band, which has a blackened platinum finish.

He said that the ring was anticipated to bring between 3 million USD and 5 million USD after it was completed. But ultimately, the sale price was twice what was anticipated.

At the Magnificent Jewels sale at Christie’s in New York on June 17, 2025, the ring fetched 13,980,000 USD, about Rs. 1,25,10,83,959.

According to Christie’s, before being sold at auction in 1996, the ring’s center stone was a part of the royal family’s Jewellery collection. The rare diamond was then commissioned by famed Jewellery artist Joel Arthur Rosenthal to create a new ring. Natasha Poonawalla is a well-known entrepreneur, philanthropist and fashion influencer.
