Green Tea has many properties which are helpful for our health. Drinking green tea on a regular basis is beneficial for fat burn and skin acne. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which are very essential for our health. Green tea bags are also available which can be easily carried.

Many of us get confused about whether green tea is herbal or not. Some reports suggest that green tea has benefits like herbal tea, but it is not classified as herbal tea. The main difference is highlighted as the green tea contains caffeine but other herbal teas do not, as per some reports. Herbal teas are produced using different plants, herbs, fruits, and flowers, while green tea originates from the Camellia sinensis plant.

What are the other differences? 

Leaves in green tea are heated to prevent oxidation and maintain their green color. In herbal tea, however, the ingredients are dried but not subjected to a particular oxidation process from a single plant. Herbal tea examples are, Chamomile tea, ginger tea, peppermint tea, hibiscus tea.

As mentioned above, it has antioxidants like catechins and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as having detoxification properties. It also has L-theanine and amino acids. It is rich in polyphenols.
