Garbage Café: Can this idea be a model for Plastic -Free & Poverty- Free India?

Amid all the crises India is tackling or dealing with, one Indian state came with an iconic idea in the year 2019, that turns India’s two biggest problems into solutions.

This state is Chhattisgarh & this idea is Ambikapur’s Garbage Cafe`, where you can get a hot plate of nourishing meals in exchange of Plastic Trash. This was started by Ambikapur Municipal Corporation to tackle the problem of Plastic Pollution. What is inspiring is the point that beautifully solving the Pollution Problem with Hunger , means turning “Pollution into Nourishment”.

Garbage Cafe` is truly a “ Waste To Taste Model” and a double triumph for hunger and pollution. Every morning a large number of ragpickers receive either a full meal or breakfast depending upon the amount of plastic they exchange.
Can this waste to taste idea be a model for other Indian cities to adapt to such an idea?
Can this model (if adapted) result in Poverty-Free & Plastic Free India?
