Gowri then clarified that the word relates to appeal. A word that is frequently misunderstood by individuals who are unfamiliar with internet culture was simp. Simple, as Kamath interpreted it, was a colloquial word for simple.

Gowri put him right and said the word refers to someone who displays excessive adoration, attention or devotion to another person, usually with the intention of gaining affection in exchange. She also presented the phrase clock it with a hand gesture widely utilized online. The phrase is usually used to say that someone has made a keen observation or noticed something significant. Its precise meaning, however, remained a mystery to Kamath.
