The trend emerged more when the lockdown underwent. Right now, many companies are adopting work from home or some are also following the hybrid mode.

In a recent Reddit post, one user discussed work from home culture, sharing how this has helped save his marriage and saying that the biggest change for him was having more time with his wife. He also discussed the limitations they established to prevent the job from being impacted. “People usually mention sleep or commute when they talk about working from home, but the biggest change for me is how much more actual time I get with my wife now,” he wrote.

He said in his post that remote work accidentally saved his marriage. “My commute now consists of around 12 steps from the bedroom to the little desk in the corner of the living room. We have this little silly habit of drinking coffee together at the start of the day and I only open my laptop and discuss our daily schedules after we finish that first cup. I schedule 30 minutes on my calendar to focus around lunchtime, but it’s actually our midday stroll around the block or a fast meal we prepare together,” he said in the post.

Working from home is commonly assumed to have an impact on productivity. “The funny thing is my performance at work did not tank. If anything, it got better because I am not grumpy and drained when I sit down to do deep work,” the user said to explain this.
